This annual event is being held again Friday, Jan. 13 in the Yakima convention centre and provides northwest cherry growers an avenue to gather, discuss current events, and hear the latest from researchers and authorities in the cherry growing world. Topics for this year include:

-Crop load management
-Managing invasive pests
-Labour issues: Recruitment and housing
-Fruit protect-ants and strategies to minimize rain cracking
-Domestic and export marketing

I prefer to visit this cherry show as I find the format and layout to be quite “user friendly” with a simple 2 day show that focuses on some key points and keeps a simple format.
